Father Christmas Cone – Tutor Wendy Deverill
The class will run from 10.00am – 2.30pm with a short break for lunch.
A kit will be provided, which will include a ready-drawn foundation, all the fabrics you need, as well as beads for eyes, wool for the beard, a bell for the hat and stuffing. You will be given full instructions as well as patterns for two sizes of cone.
During the class you will learn the technique of Foundation Piecing, and will make a small Father Christmas Cone, approx. 6” tall. Most of the sewing is done by machine, although the embellishments are added by hand, which you may need to finish at home.
