This 1 hour session is for complete beginners and anyone who wants to give darning a go.
During the session, you will learn…
- what yarn/threads to use for darning
- what tools will be useful
- what size needle to use
- how to weave a small darning patch over a small hole in your clothes
a variety of needles and threads will be available. Along with a darning mushroom and some embroidery hoops. Just bring along something you want to fix.
We will be exploring the technique of visible mending using a woven darning method. This is great for darning holes in socks or holes in jumpers which will give them a unique new style and help your clothes to last for longer.
