Before moving North to live in Wirral, I worked at Brighton Dome for more than 5 years facilitating art/making projects to run alongside each of the children’s shows.
I made 1000 stars to put on each seat for the audience to wave at a Brighton Festival opening show with Micheal Rosen. I also made a Rocket prop for the stage in this show. And for another show, I made kits for each child to take home and make their own bird related to the show.
I have continued to work with Brighton Dome by making craft packs for the umbrella club and so far we have produced 3 different pack runs. Each run consists of 100 packs which are given out to children and families as part of the children shows.
The first pack contained the ‘ingredients’ to make a twist drum
The second pack contained everything you needed to make your own ‘no sew, no snow snowman’
The third pack included a kit to make your own Brighton Dome out of paper and printing inks
I’m looking forward to seeing what pack we will create next
