This session is for anyone who wants to learn how to make baby clothes. You will make a pair of baby leggings and a hat.
With tutor Angela Lloyd, a highly skilled designer with a degree in fashion and textiles Angela has worked for various UK suppliers and retailers designing surface print patterns and garments for Childrens wear. Angela also designs knitting patterns.
What this course will cover…
- Select and cut the pattern to your required size
- Choose from Cuffed and Un-cuffed version of the leggings
- Pin and cut your fabric on the fold
- Use an over locker to serge seams
- Look at a variety of ways to neaten the leg cuffs, using either a single or twin needle/ cover machine.
- Make a channel to insert the elastic at waist
- complete a pair of trousers and a hat
Fabric and materials will be provided, but if you do want to bring your own fabric we suggest 100% cotton jersey. You will receive detailed fabric requirements upon booking.
