This session is for anyone who wants to learn how to make a gathered fabric lampshade.
With tutor Sarah Wyles, a highly skilled textiles artist, Sarah has taught Textiles and Art in schools and colleges for most of her career and loves sharing her ideas and skills with others.
What this course will cover…
You will learn how to create a gathered fabric lampshade using traditional skills. Base 30cm diameter
The lampshade can be made using a fabric of your choice – cotton lawn weight fabrics are recommended. Each shade will be lined and finished with a trim.
You will take home a beautiful lampshade to compliment your home.
Some sewing knowledge is recommended for this course. The ability to use a sewing machine is recommended

NB we will have a limited selection of cotton lawn fabrics available in our Re-Craftery fabrics store. If you would like to see what we have before you go and buy some then please contact Jane so that you can pop in to the studio in advance.
