Some time ago we were given a 50m roll of black watch tartan fabric. This was from a factory which used to make school coats before closing down.
Ever since, at sewing clubs we have been making clothes, bags and accessories from this gorgeous fabric and we now have an amazing collection to share with you
Making your own clothes, using up-cycled fabrics and learning how to alter second-hand clothes are all ways that you can help to change your relationship with clothes and help the planet.

Once you’ve seen the show, you can browse our shop of handmade items all made from black watch tartan using up the smaller offcuts from the larger items made from this material.
