My first job after finishing my degree was in a costume workroom under the expert guidance of Claire Green at ‘The Form Factory’ where we produced character costumes for mascots, theatre and events.   Most of the work was commissioned by Rainbow Productions

I was taught every aspect of character costume making using a variety of different techniques.  These are skills that I have carried through into other aspects of my work.

The Budgie costume is an example of something that I made for a commission, where I leased with the performers, designed, created patterns and made these 2 costumes for a street theatre performance.
