This project was based in a primary school linked to a series of art projects across a number of schools in the local Lancing area.  My role was to work with primary, secondary and nursery schools on different projects over a full year.  The project was funded by West Sussex Council Arts and Creativity service.

This puppet making project was in a Lancing primary school and we built puppets for the fairy tale characters of cinderella.  The children then used the puppets to perform and tell the story.

The puppets were first constructed using bamboo and string to make the moveable skeleton.  The children then added foam to build the shape of the head and body.  Following that, Material, tissue paper, tape glue and paint was used to give character to each puppet.  The photos below are of the ugly sisters which were the most fun to make.
